The STEM Coordinator support children with their learning activities in the Maker Space, work closely with coaches to make sure pupils enjoy learning in a safe and caring setting.
II – Essential duties and responsibilities
1. Planning and Preparation
a. Demonstrating knowledge of the SSIS Mission, Core Values, and Curriculum Framework
b. Demonstrating knowledge of elementary faculty, staff, and students
c. Understand instructional outcomes for all STEM-related learning experiences and help communicate them to students
d. Demonstrate knowledge of STEM-related resources within the school and Vietnam
e. Demonstrate elementary-level knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and science
f. Contribute to the design of STEM-related learning experiences
g. Contribute to the creation of STEM-related student assessments
h. Work closely with the STEM and Technology coaches
i. Plan elements of Innovate SSIS, including materials and instructions for stations, communicating with community innovators, and coordinating teacher volunteers.
2. Classroom Environment
a. Contribute to a positive Maker Space and school environment, including assist children with practical or interpersonal problems and supporting positive behavior throughout the school.
b. Contribute to a culture of academic excellence, particularly in Maker Space
c. Establish and support all STEM-related procedures to ensure smooth management of the Maker Space and related facilities.
d. Manage student behavior: supervise and help students learn respectful behavior in the Maker Space.
e. Enhance the learning environment of the STEM-related areas (especially Maker Space): prepare lesson supplies/materials/equipment, display interactive learning displays in room and hallways, locate and/or purchase local materials, organize and retrieve store room supplies.
a. Communicate with students; establish positive relationships
b. Use questioning and discussion techniques that promote critical thinking, design thinking, and scientific method
c. Engage students in learning through differentiating activities and use of design cycle
d. Contribute to use of assessment for learning, help differentiate learning for individual students
e. Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness in a dynamic learning environment
4. Professional Responsibilities
a. Reflect on the teaching and learning process; make suggestions for improvement
b. Maintain accurate records, including schedules, use of facilities, materials, and supplies
c. Communicate with faculty and staff
d. Participate in the professional community, connect with all members of the school community
e. Grow and developing professionally, become a better educator
f. Demonstrate professional behavior, including dress, speech, and interactions.
Maintain effective relationship with faculty and colleagues
Execute assignments from time to time, report to business Manager (Head of Department)
Adjust to the needs of a growing, changing organization

Yêu Cầu Công Việc
Technical Knowledge: BA or College degree in Pedagogy
Year of experience: Experienced is preferable
High levels of proficiency with instructional technology
Strong English skills; MS Office: Intermediate
Strong interest in growing as a professional
Broad skills in STEM-related areas
The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking, writing clearly.
Strong interest in growing as a professional and learning new STEM skills
Standing, sitting, walking throughout the day.
Be able to work in and out of the classroom on a daily basis
Perform duties at both indoor and outdoor classroom.
