Structural Engineer/ Kỹ Sư Kết Cấu

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

Structural Engineer works in Design Department of MacGregor Vietnam Co., Ltd. The main duty is to calculate the strength of mechanical structures in accordance with requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Accomplish assigned strength calculating tasks in agreed technical solution(s) within a committed time frame, independently or in cooperation with other colleagues. Notice the immediate Manager as soon as possible about all trouble(s) arising in relation with job performance, and cooperate to handle the trouble(s) efficiently

● Comply with all design standards and requirements of Company and Customers

● Propose solutions to improve efficiency and quality of the work

● Coordinate actively with Company in discussing, concluding and performing Qualification Development Plan

Education:

● Naval architecture is an advantage

● Mechanical engineer or equivalent education which have background in the steel structural analysis

Experience:

● Experience working with welded structures, ship structures, steel structures

Working in a international company is an advantage

Competencies:

● Good knowledge of products designed by Company,

● General knowledge of ship construction & International Class Societies’ Rules

● Ability to use softwares specialized for strength calculation and structural analysis (such as Ansys, Genie, SAP, FEM tools in Autocad, Inventor or Solidwork or other similar applications)

● Ability to work under pressure in a global environment.

● Ability to work either independently or collaboratively, with high responsibility

● Ability in communication in English, verbally and in writing.
