Supplier Quality Engineer

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Supplier Quality Governance

- Oversee end-to-end quality management for assigned strategic suppliers across APAC region

- Implement supplier scorecard system to monitor KPIs including PPM, OTD, and corrective action closure rate

2. Product Quality Assurance:

- Lead pre-shipment inspection programs in compliance with AQL standards (MIL-STD-105/ANSI Z1.4)

- Conduct comprehensive product evaluations covering:

• Safety & regulatory compliance (CPSC, ASTM, EN71)

• Functional performance validation

• Cosmetic standards & packaging integrity

- Generate detailed technical reports with CTQ measurements for global stakeholders

3. Supplier Development

- A background in the automotive industry is preferred

- Lead root cause analysis (8D methodology) for quality incidents and production non-conformances

- Drive CAPA implementation through onsite supplier coaching and process audits

- Develop supplier quality improvement roadmaps with measurable milestones

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

- Serve as technical liaison between US engineering teams and APAC suppliers

- Facilitate NPI quality planning for design transfers and first article approvals

- Conduct gemba walks for real-time production process optimization

5. Continuous Improvement

- Champion lean manufacturing initiatives (Six Sigma, Kaizen) at supplier sites

- Analyze quality trends using statistical tools (SPC, Pareto analysis)

- Lead supplier quality summits for best practice sharing

**Qualifications:**

- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management or related technical field

- 5+ years progressive experience in supplier quality management (electro-mechanical products preferred)

- Technical Competencies:

• Expert in QC methodologies: PPAP, FMEA, MSA, GD&T

• Proficient in interpreting technical documentation (2D/3D drawings, BOMs, specs)

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 quality systems

• Data analysis skills (Minitab, Power BI, SQL)

- Professional Attributes:

• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

• Demonstrated success in supplier quality yield improvement (30%+ YOY)

• Strategic problem solver with cross-cultural negotiation skills

• Self-directed professional with 50% regional travel flexibility

- Language Requirements:

• Native Vietnamese with business proficiency in English (TOEIC 800+ equivalent)

• Mandarin Chinese proficiency highly valued

- Logistics:

• Valid driver's license and personal transportation required

• Flexibility for occasional extended work hours to align with global time zones
