Sustainability Manager

Main purpose: To ensure the ongoing implementation of Knauf strategy and take a lead role in the planning and delivery of region/country Sustainability targets (Must-Win Battle Sustainability) Duties: • Propose and roll-out Knauf policies, program and sustainability governance at region/country level • Initiate and organize sustainability projects and processes (Materiality, Climate risk assessment, etc.) • Facilitate progress on material areas: GHG reduction, Waste-to-landfill, Water consumption, Design for sustainability (R&D + radical innovation), Product documentation/EPD, Circularity, Social impacts, Business conduct etc. • Join Knauf Must-Win Battles, foster the sustainability community across the business units and within the region/country (plant managers, energy engineers, product stewards, CI teams, etc.); build company partnerships in the country • Inspire and motivate: awareness, hackathons, training and coaching, Gemba walks, onsite visits and dialogues. • Deliver reporting and communications including KPIs, CSRD disclosure and country annual sustainability report. • Nurture a comprehensive understanding of sustainability in all dimensions (climate, clean energy, biodiversity, pollution, product impact, social development, business conduct, etc.)

An individual who: • Role model in safety • Leadership and Teamwork • Assertiveness • Learning ability • Performance orientation • Ability to drive change • Moderation capabilities • Data driven • Strong problem-solving abilities • Project Management • Adapting Communication Education & Experience: • Full time bachelor’s degree in Technical/Environmental or any related major / • Ideally, Minimum 10 years total experience and at least 3 years in Sustainability Managers role in an international company. • Theoretical and practical knowledge in sustainability • Good Presentation skill PREFERRED: Person with Engineering graduate, working in Building material Industry and then taking Managerial role in sustainability in an international company will be added advantage.
