KPMG in Vietnam has a dedicated and specialized Trade & Customs Services team of professionals who also have transfer pricing and international tax knowledge and experience and are able to assist clients from all sectors with a broad range of trade and customs services. Our professionals come from a variety of backgrounds with well-established credentials, who are able to present the right mix of local and international experience in ensuring that the quality of our services meets the right quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support Manager and Senior Manager and in developing relationships with clients and targets to gain an understanding of their businesses, and identify potential opportunities

• Leading multiple engagements of varying size and complexity

• Advising clients on complex customs matters

• Producing well-researched customs opinions

• Be able to coordinate with team members to successfully deliver value in customs advisory and customs compliance services to our clients

• Contribute to continuous improvement of in-house systems and procedures

• Bachelor degree in relevant subjects, e.g. accounting, finance, economics, law, logistics and supply chain, etc.

• At least 2 to 3 years relevant experience in either external and/or internal tax function

• Competent and literate with the following packages: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Excellent technical knowledge of and experience in Trade & Customs advisory and compliance

• The ability to apply an understanding of financial statements and other relevant non-tax financial and business information to the tax advisory and compliance work

• Strong organizational, time management skills and effective communication skills

• Ability to work and perform under pressure with tight deadlines

• A proven track record in developing and maintaining relationships at various levels

• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative

• Good command of English and Vietnamese
