Tax Services - Senior Associate (HCM Office)

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of the month/quarterly/year-end tax returns including Value Added Tax, Personal Income Tax, Corporate Income Tax and Foreign Contractor Tax

• Assist with calculation of monthly payroll and Personal Income Tax obligations for the local staffs and the expatriates;

• Assist in various tax-related jobs including but not limited to tax health check, VAT refund, tax due diligence, tax advisory, tax code closure and licensing procedures (amending Investment and Business Registration Certificate, setting up RO, enterprise);

• Assist with all aspects of the tax engagements from beginning to completion under the assignment, instruction and supervision of managers;

• Assist in researching information and tax regulations as required by managers;

• Assign jobs and provide instruction for junior levels (associate, interns) to support them in completing their assignment and ensure the quality of the deliverables submitted to senior level for review

Technical competence

• Demonstrates sufficient technical knowledge in accounting and taxation to undertake relevant area of work

• Be pro-active in brainstorm together with managers to seek solutions to technical issues and demonstrates a willingness to understand and recognise the breadth of possible technical issues.

People

• Be proactive in managing clients’ and managers’ expectations.

• Maintain a credible and professional relationship with colleagues at all levels.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance, law or business is strongly preferred;

• Minimum of 4 years working experience as a Tax Consultant

• Fluency in English, both speaking and writing;

• VTCA/CPA/ACCA/ CPAA is preferable

• Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

• Good administration and secretarial skill; and

• Good organisation and time management skill.
