Mô tả công việc
Partner with HK Technical Design (TD) team to work closely with factories, facilitating processes and solving issues in country quickly.
Development Tasks
o Maintain library of patterns and blocks, digitize where needed
o Collaborate with Sourcing to resolve development issues and provide technical design clarifications under Senior TD guidance.
Fit Reviews
o Evaluate fit samples for construction, fit, balance, workmanship, measurements, and safety.
o Partner with vendor technicians to implement corrections and improve samples.
o Escalate construction and grading issues
o Approve product complexities based on department allocation, suggest pattern corrections.
o Approve artwork placement, align with Senior TD when necessary.
o Communicate artwork placement comments to Sourcing.
o Track fit status of assigned styles
o Apply strong pattern review and correction skills across all allocated products.
o Contribute to Global Technical Design discussions with relevant topics
Vendor Management
o Act as the gatekeeper to apply process and fit standards
o Escalate non-conformities and recurring performance issues.
o Survey Sample making process – detect possible gap in the process and monitor improvement
o Support building training materials and facilitate vendor training sessions.
o Monitor vendor certified technician performance
o Participate in pre-production (PP) meetings and review TOP samples.
o Prepare mini markers to support consumption and cost analysis as requested by Sourcing.
o Partner with QA for technical audits during key production stages.
o Document findings and clarify issues with sample room staff.
o Confirm unresolved issues with Carter’s internal resources.
o Train sample room technicians on Carter’s standards (blocks, grading, PLM, artwork placement, etc.).
o Maintain and update the sample log daily.
Yêu cầu công việc
* Textiles or Fashion Design studies, preferred (or equivalent years of experience)
* Minimum 4 years of technical experience
* Previous work experience in a sourcing office for Childrens wear products is preferred
* Strong Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.)
* Working knowledge of Gerber, PLM, and AI
