Technical Designer (Garment) / Nhân Viên Thiết Kế (Ngành May Mặc)

• Measure samples received from prototype stage through pre-production and prepare for fitting

• Audit construction and quality of product to ensure samples have proper construction for garment category and fabrication

• Ability to communicate fit and balance issues via pattern diagram or directly on pattern

• Execute fit comments in a timely manner to ensure the proper process aligned with production and action timelines

• Create easily understandable comments using written and visual methods

• Work closely with cross-functioning teams to ensure all information is correct

• Collaborate with cross-functioning teams to gain clear direction and consensus of fit intent

• Maintain professional and timely email correspondence with factory and global brands

• Identify potential product, quality, and costing issues and make appropriate recommendations

• Track and manage workflow and workload for own product

• Technical education in garment fit and construction to degree level or equivalent work experience.

• Knowledge of knit garment patternmaking, construction, fit, and grading. 

• Knowledge of factories, manufacturing techniques, and machinery.

• 3-5 years of apparel industry experience preferred (accepting full time interns for new graduate/ final years student with fashion major)

• Having experience in using pattern programs (Optitex, Style cad, etc.)

• Having experience in using a product development technical specification program (PDM, PLM etc).

• Having experience in using 3D software as a bonus (Clo3D, Browzwear, etc.).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word etc.).

• Ability to identify issues and create solutions outside of established parameters and guidelines.

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
