Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee our garment sample rooms and pattern-making teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment technology or fashion design, with at least 8 years of industry experience. This role requires excellent English communication skills, and the ability to train and guide workers to produce garments according to design specifications. The Technical Manager will manage five sample rooms and a team of pattern makers, ensuring high-quality output and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

Lead and manage a team across five sample rooms and pattern-making units.

Oversee the daily operations, ensuring that all teams meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Provide training and mentorship to workers, enhancing their skills in garment production and pattern making before mass production.

Problem solving: clients' requests & clients' complaints

Technical Oversight:

Ensure that garments are produced according to design specifications, maintaining high quality and consistency.

Review and approve patterns, samples, and prototypes before mass production.

Collaborate with the design and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve production processes and implement best practices in sample and pattern making.

Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency across all sample rooms.

Communication:

Serve as the primary liaison between the sample room teams and other departments, including design, production, and quality control.

Report regularly to senior management on the progress of sample production, challenges, and any required support.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that all samples meet the company’s quality standards and client expectations.

Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Garment Technology, Fashion Design, or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.

Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and sample room operations.

Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
