Technical Manager (New Factory in Quang Tri, Vietnam)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop plans, monitor sample making progress, and assign work to sample sewing.

• Collaborate with designers to give opinions on materials + raw materials suitable for production samples.

• Evaluate technical errors during sample approval.

• Provide technical advice for sample design.

• Create technical specifications and support departments when problems arise with samples.

• Be responsible for creating and researching shapes, grasping standard parameters of basic designs.

• Receive sample information from customers

• Analyze samples, design patterns for sample sewing implementation for sample sewing department.

• Edit patterns, design according to customer requirements.

• Make diagrams, calculate raw material standards.

• Develop product technical specifications for product codes.

• Organize sample meetings, sample sewing, sample approval and propose ideas during sample sewing process.

• Perform operational measurement, IE related work, improve operations, and arrange the most optimal sewing line.

• Check diagrams before transferring to cutting department.

• Supervise the cutting department to ensure compliance with technical requirements.

• Prepare production documents: Production patterns, parameters, sewing specifications.

• Coordinate with the production department to deploy and train sewing workers according to technical specifications.

• Report detailed implementation plans to the Director.

• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 5 years’ of solid working experience in cotton knit garment manufacturing at a similar level (Technical Management)

• Good knowledge in cotton knit garment production technique and operation, including strong technical understanding of garment assembly

• Computer literate

• Preferably proficient in Vietnamese and English (or Chinese)

• Strong analytical skills and desire to improve and problem solve

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong leadership ability and able to work independently

• Work collaboratively as part of a management team
