Technical Manager - Vietnam

Role Summary

As Technical Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the technical team ensuring the best quality of garment is produced, create and implement an ethical compliance business strategy that delivers exceptional standards.

You will be responsible for legal and safety requirements of all products, test reporting, factory management, attending sourcing, development and compliance meetings with relevant parties, quality control on all products such as fabrics, trims, wash, yarns etc. As a valued member of the senior management team, you will report directly to Senior Technical Manager and work closely with all internal teams.

Accountabilities

Technical Control & Management:

• Analyze design concepts, sketches, and photos provided by customers to understand their requirements

• Lead and manage the technical team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of product development and production processes

• Provide technical expertise and support in resolving customer complaints or product issues related to fit, construction, or quality

• Ensure production of finished garment is appropriately controlled and compliance with safety and customer standards

• Consistently delivers high quality services to the customers

• Manage technical resources within budget and project schedule

Communication with Internal Team & Vendor:

• Collaborate with factories to review customer feedback and oversee sampling procedures to meet quality standards

• Support local team member to understand customer requirements and resolving technical challenges

• Facilitates team and customer meetings effectively

• Discuss work progress, challenges, and updates with merchandising team to ensure alignment with customer expectations

• Diploma or above in Merchandising or textile-related discipline is preferable

• At least 10 years working experience in merchandising industry in which at least 3 years in managerial level

• All rounded of apparel experience in woven and cut & sewn knit, additional experience in sweater, swimwear, underwear and accessories is preferable

• Solid experience in leading sample room and factory is preferable

• Knowledge in safety requirements, pattern skills, Opitiex or other CAD program is advantage

• Multitasking, responsive, self-motivated person and able to work under pressure

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills and capable of building strong relationships with all counterparts

• Excellent command of written and spoken English and native local language

• Literate in Microsoft Office Applications

• Frequent travel to factories is required
