Urgent - Development Merchandiser - Prioritize Completing Before Tet

1) Job Purpose

To manage and coordinate the garment development process for GAP/Old Navy programs, ensuring smooth communication, accurate product information, on-time sample delivery, and quality alignment with brand requirements.

2) Key Responsibilities

• Receive development requests from the brand/customer (GAP/Old Navy) and support execution in line with standards.

• Track and manage the full sample development timeline (proto, fit, size set, PP sample, etc.) and provide regular status updates.

• Coordinate closely with internal teams (design/technical/QA-sourcing) to ensure correct execution of development requirements.

• Maintain and check development documentation (specs/measurements, construction details, quality standards, labeling/packing requirements if applicable).

• Liaise with vendors/suppliers regarding materials (fabric, trims, colors) to meet brand expectations.

• Support problem-solving during development (measurement deviations, workmanship issues, material concerns, fitting comments, revisions, etc.).

• Consolidate updates, prepare reports, and propose solutions to keep projects on track.

• Handle additional development-related tasks as assigned.

• 2–4 years of experience in the garment industry; proven experience in garment development is preferred.

• Strong experience developing products for GAP/Old Navy (or similar brands) is a major plus.

• Solid understanding of the sample development process, key milestones, and basic garment quality/fit requirements.

• Good coordination skills, timeline management, multitasking, and problem-solving ability.

• Clear and honest communication; strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• (Preferred) Working English communication and basic proficiency in office tools/PLM systems.
