[Urgent] Equipment Manager

Job Purpose Summary

The Equipment Manager is responsible for the effective planning, operation, maintenance, and optimization of SMT machinery and related production equipment. This role ensures equipment availability, reliability, and performance in alignment with Unigen’s manufacturing goals and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Management & Optimization

* Lead the setup, calibration, and maintenance of SMT equipment including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, SPI, AOI, and ICT systems.

* Monitor equipment performance and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

* Collaborate with production and process teams to identify equipment issues and drive continuous improvement.

2. Team & Vendor Management

* Supervise and develop a team of equipment technicians and engineers.

* Coordinate with equipment suppliers for installation, upgrades, spare parts, and technical support.

* Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols.

3. Documentation & Reporting

* Maintain detailed maintenance logs, calibration records, and technical documentation.

* Prepare regular reports on equipment availability, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and maintenance KPIs.

* Support audits and certifications related to equipment and process control.

4. Project & Budget Oversight

* Participate in equipment investment planning and cost optimization projects.

* Lead or support equipment installation, relocation, or expansion initiatives.

* Manage equipment budget, procurement, and inventory of critical spare parts.

* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

* At least **5 years of experience** in SMT equipment maintenance or engineering, with **2+ years** in a supervisory/managerial role.

* Strong knowledge of SMT production process and equipment (Fuji, Panasonic, Yamaha, etc. is a plus).

* Proficient in TPM, 5S, and lean manufacturing principles.

* Good English communication skills (written & verbal).

* Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
