[Urgent] - Interior Designer

Responsibilities:

This job description reflects the core activities of the role although there might be changes and adaptations. There is a requirement for the post holder to recognize this and adopt a flexible approach to work.

• To perform strong analytical skills for interpreting client and operator briefs.

• To work as part of a team to develop the design from starting point through to build reality.

• To visualize design ideas in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-up, physical model and/or other suitable media.

• To possess a solid understanding of ID principles and the specific requirements of the hospitality niche

• To research via Internet, magazine, books etc. for relevant information needed for a project.

• To specify suitable and international standard material finishes.

Key requirement:

• Solid experience in AutoCAD, InDesign and Sketch-Up.

• Concept design skills is a plus.

• Good written and oral communication skills (English).

• Good time management and organizational skills.

• 4-5 years of Interior Design experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years specialized in Hospitality projects

• Minimum education level: Bachelor degree in Interior Design. Experience in hotel, resort, restaurant and bar projects is a must.

Knowledge, skills, abilities and characteristics:

• Initiative and strong design interest, to help current design team.

• Detailed knowledge of suppliers, manufacturers and products available in the local and the world marketplace.

• Should be self-motivated and able to grasp new concepts quickly.

• Strong sense of colors/materials and atmosphere.

• Flexibility, diligence, reliability and responsibility are a must.

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.

• Competence in organizational support, react well under pressure.
