Valuation Manager

Valuation Manager contributes to the Corporate Actuarial team to being a balanced and trusted advisor to executive management by providing insights into the financials of the company:
• Leads the Basis Changes cycle, including modeling and assumptions setting, presentation of results and effective coordination across multiple teams
• Manages Embedded Value reporting, for New Business and Inforce, give initiatives to optimize results
• Manages the annual dividend recommendation exercise, delivers appropriate recommendations based on conducting in-depth analysis and understanding of the adjustability under different scenarios
• Establishes expertise on products, liability calculations and other related concepts, as well as applicable company and industry standards and guidelines, to take full accountability for delivery of key reports
• Maintains highly effective controls to ensure accuracy of model output and reports, and establishes a reputation for high quality deliverables
• Collaborates with other teams to support IFRS17 reporting standards as well as migration to a shared service operational model for modeling and production processes
• Manages actuarial staff in their day-to-day tasks or projects and ensures skill and career development including progress through professional exams
• Handles additional projects from time to time
