Vexrobot Steam Teacher

POSITION OVERVIEW

It is preferred to have teacher to inspire, and engage with ambitious and energetic students to develop their ROBOTIC, VEX và STEAM skills and knowledge

Reporting Line: Middle and High School Principal

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Lead the management of the grades 1-11 school VEX robotics program

• Teach middle and upper school engineering and robotics classes

• Coordinate robotics after-school sessions

• Attend robotic competitions on weekends during the school year

• Assist with registration and travel logistics to national and international competitions

• Communicate with families about robotics program updates

• Collaborate with teachers to integrate projects with a focus on technology concepts and operations, programming and physical computing, and engineering design

• Work collaboratively with the educational technology team to define benchmarks for technology curriculum and integration

• Participate in building plans to guide the implementation of curricular and extracurricular programs when requested.

• Prepare teaching materials, daily student reports, and final assessment reports, unscheduled reviews. Keeping students' notebooks clean, marking and correcting lessons, building class order (hygiene, order and discipline, learning attitude, ethical behavior of students).

• Participate in teaching and support other teachers in the group as assigned by the Team Lead and Principal

• Evaluate the students’ performance, have meetings with parents based on School schedule and any abrupt meetings required by the School Board.

• Attend workshops and school events throughout the school year.

• Support LMS for R&D Project and IT software (SIS) if needed.

Job requirements

• University/Master’s Degree/ Certificate of Pedagogy/ Education with teaching major;

• 2 years of experience in a similar position in bilingual/international/high quality schools;

• Dynamic, innovative mindset in teaching and learning methods;

• Excellent command of both spoken and written English

• Provide and upload Bachelor's degree and related certificates.
