Description
* Planning, developing, directing, and evaluating the company or organization's business function, vision, mission and overall strategies to ensure business growth
* Ensuring that agreed strategies are well implemented and maintained compliance with regulatory authorities
* Establish short- and long-term goals for the organization and advise on the impact of long-range planning and new business ventures to the board of management.
* Participating in the development of the company or organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner
* Enhancing or developing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures of the organization that will in turn improve its overall operation and effectiveness
* Maintaining awareness of the competitive landscapes, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, and new industry developments and standards
* Providing leadership to staff and providing them with business objectives to enhance employee performance
* Hiring, evaluating and providing professional development opportunities for the company's senior management team
* Monitoring the needs of company partners, board of directors and stakeholders

* Bachelor's or master's degree is required, preferably in business or management.
* Required experience in strategic planning and execution within the fresh meat industry.
* Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and related regulations in the fresh/food processing industry.
* Ability to develop financial plans, interpret financial data, and understand general accounting procedures.
* Knowledge of leadership, communication, and public relations techniques to interact with a variety of people.
* Work requires professional written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to motivate teams and associates toward successful goal accomplishment.
* Proven ability to manage several projects at one time.
* Proven experience in developing long-term relationships with partnering organizations.
* Decisiveness and willingness to take well-reasoned risks.
