Netcompany was founded in 2000 and has its headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark. Today, we are an international company with more than 6,500 employees working from 17 countries. We serve a wide array of customers in their digital transformation journeys in public and private sectors across Europe. Le Quoc Huy

Project Manager

Working with programming has always been very intuitive for me

Le Quoc Huy grew up in Ho Chi Minh City, raised in a family who all worked in the electronics industry. Initially, Huy wanted to follow in their footsteps. After finishing high school, he started studying Automation Electronics at the University of Industry. While studying and learning how to control different electronic devices, Huy realised that he had some undiscovered skills in computer programming. “I found out that I was a lot better at computer programming than with electronics. It felt very intuitive.”

Getting the hang of programming was easy for Huy. And that was when he decided to change his educational plans and take a different path in his professional life.

Good at recognising people’s strengths

In July 2019 Huy joined Netcompany as a senior consultant. But it did not take long for his superiors to recognise his people skills and talent for teaching others, and they encouraged him to pursue the role as a manager. “Today I work as a manager, which is great, because I have always enjoyed teaching! I previously worked as a high school teacher in a computer programming class. So it was a natural next step for me to work with people development and support some of my colleagues in their dedicated pursuit for growth. This is probably what I like the most about being a manager”.

Adapting to an international work environment

When joining Netcompany, Truong learned new ways of working and collaborating. “I have learned to adapt to other cultures and working styles, and I have become a better communicator. Everything we do is based on team effort. We always work together to solve problems. That means you must be good at communicating and collaborating – especially when working in international, cross-border teams.”

Making a positive change and creating better solutions

Even though Truong has worked in the IT industry for many years, he has never forgotten what sparked his interest in IT: “Back when I still studied at high school, I stumbled upon many issues when working in the school’s IT systems. That was when I realised that maybe I could make a positive change by creating better solutions.” It was during his high school years that Truong’s interest in IT increased significantly. “I was inspired by my high school teacher. I clearly remember how he showed me a model of a computer and taught me how it worked. I remember being very impressed by how the computer was able to do all the hard work.” This experience was a turning point, where Truong realised that he wanted to become a software engineer.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao

Senior Test Specialist

My colleagues inspire me to become better every day

In 2020 she joined Netcompany as a test specialist, and a year later she was promoted to senior test specialist. Being at Netcompany gives Thao the perfect opportunity to combine her skills within testing with her interest in working in an international environment and experiencing different cultures. “It is really intriguing for me to work for a company with offices around the world. I have learned a lot about different cultures while working on projects together with colleagues of different nationalities.”

Something that especially motivates Thao is seeing her colleagues excelling at what they do. “All of my colleagues are very good at what they do, and I find that highly motivating. It inspires me to become better every day, and I am glad that Netcompany supports me in my development.”

Practice makes perfect

Thao’s enthusiasm for testing also plays a role in her personal life, and she likes to spend some of her spare time doing research and reading about testing. But when she is not reading about the latest news within testing, she enjoys playing badminton. She spends several nights a week together with her colleagues, practicing her badminton smash. “I recently attended the Netcompany After Dark badminton tournament. Unfortunately, I did not win this time. But with a bit more practice, I might go for the title next year,” Thao concludes.
