The role purpose of VietNam Exams Business Processing Manager in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – is to ensure the VietNam exams administrative and financial tasks are conduct within the team effectively and efficiently, and all the transactions, documents and reports meet the requirements of Finance Compliance Policy and timeline.
To lead the delivery of a variety of financial process services for the Exams, including monitoring daily income recognition, monthly reconciliation, invoice issuance, and ensure consistent, accurate and robust financial processes in line with service standard and policy.
Proactively recommend improvements.
Prepare the team and manage process transition.
Main opportunities and challenges of the role:
Many business processes in VietNam remain manual as new automated systems are being developed. The VietNam business processing team handles business processing in the meantime. The post holder will manage this team to maximise performance in these processes, solves problems as they arise, seeks to make improvement and readies the team for automated payment and processes.
Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:
Service Delivery
• Lead the team to provide support to the country Operations, Finance, Customer Services and Shared Service Centre by completing the financial tasks required for the financial month-end and year-end pre-closing and provides support as required for the financial year-end closing.
• Lead on investigations and remediation for incomplete registration and payment for online, offline, and over the counter and any related financial issues including but not limited to income, refunds, payments, etc.
• Lead on investigations for unmatching income recognitions, income discrepancies, income deferrals, unidentified income with FC and Finance Team.
• Lead on all new Financial Implementation Projects in Vietnam.
• Lead on all Financial trainings for all related manages.
• Lead on all supports with Finance for Audit Reports or Financial Reports

• Ensure the policies, procedures and systems are delivered with integrity.
• Assist VietNam and EA business processing hub with provision of information to internal / external auditors.
• Provide leadership as required in the area on accounting transactions and adjustments (accruals, deferrals and provisions), Intercompany transaction, Travel & Expense,
Vendor creation and management etc...
• Responsible for the accuracy and compliance with relevant policies.
Customers & Stakeholders
• Be accountable for providing effective and timely communications and respondence for all internal enquires, and lead on providing solutions to complex cases.
• Lead on responding to complex internal enquiries, working with stakeholders to establish the most appropriate solution available in the area.
• Lead on resolving queries received from Shared Service Centre, Finance, Customer Services, and Operations teams.
• Creating awareness of compliance to financial processes in the area through regular communication and training.
Risk & Compliance
• Responsible and ensure financial records in the area as per corporate policy and internal audit.
• Ensure compliance with finance policy in the area.
• Lead on the quarterly FCCF compliance tasks and respond to queries and provision of improvement plans with assigned owners and timelines where require.
Analysis & Reporting
• Prepares standard management information reports with relevant data to aid management decision-making in the area.
• Lead on VietNam business processing team in providing supports to the income recognition and reconciliation process in the area by extracting relevant reports.
• Set standards and performance manage Exams finance process and tasks.
• Serves as point of escalation for Regional Operation Team on significant issues.
• Uses standardised processes to monitor team/unit compliance with agreed corporate risk management procedures relevant to service delivery (e.g. child protection, security policies, financial protocols, anti-fraud measures) to protect the interests of the BC and its customers at all times.
Leadership & management
• Plans and prioritises regional exams finance activities and supports team knowledge and skills development towards effective delivery of services.
• Coaches and guides towards team performance of the country operations team, working with country leadership to address skills or motivation gaps as it arises.

Demonstrable experience, in large complex international organisation of:
• Experience of overseeing daily operations in a business environment.
• Must have experience in working in a relevant field.
• Minimum 12 months experience in managing a finance/business processing team
• Must have knowledge/ experience managing and/or designing and/or improving financial and business processes
• Working in a busy and challenging environment operating against very tight deadlines.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Track record of working in a tightly controlled process driven environment
Person Specification:
• Diploma/Degree in any discipline
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Vietnam.
